Luc de Blieck (NL) has been appointed at the World Customs Organization (WCO) as Deputy Director, Procedures and Facilitation in the Compliance and Facilitation Directorate, as of  October 2016.

Before this appointment, he served as Counselor for International Customs Policy at Customs National Office in Rotterdam, Netherlands, most recently serving as Chair of the Customs Cooperation Working Party during the Dutch Presidency of the EU Council January-June 2016.

From 2002 till 2012, Luc de Blieck was based in Brussels at the Permanent Representation of The Netherlands to the EU, first as Taxation Counselor, subsequently as Customs Counselor.

From 1980 till 2002, he worked at the Directorate General for Tax and Customs Policy and Legislation at the Ministry of Finance in The Hague in the field of Taxation, holding several Management Positions.
