Marco joined Seabury Consulting in January 2007, and currently has more than 16 years of experience in air cargo consulting and 5 years of experience in air cargo management functions.
He has conducted numerous assignments with leading air cargo carriers, integrators, airports, forwarders and related companies all around the world. His assignments included network strategy, feasibility studies, business planning, sales trainings, due diligence, pricing workshops, revenue management, product development, fleet selection, guidance of start-up cargo airlines and valuation.
In addition to this, Marco played a pivotal role in the development of the world’s leading trade database, which provides fundamental insight in trends in air and sea cargo trade around the world. Next to the global trade database he has been deeply engaged in the development and maintenance of Seabury Consulting’s air express database in close collaboration with the world’s largest integrators. This database provides unrivalled insights into express trade flows.
Marco furthermore gained in-depth knowledge of cross-border B2C e-commerce market trends, and leads Seabury Consulting’s biannual air trade forecast which provides detailed insights into expected market developments.
Before his involvement with Seabury Consulting, he was a partner with a management consulting firm with dedicated focus on the air cargo industry, advising clients on commercial improvement and network and fleet decisions.
He previously worked for KLM Cargo for 5 years in various commercial functions, among others in marketing, pricing, sales support and alliances. In his last function, he was the Cargo Sales Management Team member responsible for revenue management.
Marco is a frequent speaker at key industry conferences, sharing insights on air cargo developments and trends.
He is an MBA graduate from Nijenrode University in The Netherlands.
